Employment Opportunities

Winn Brook Extended Learning (WBExL) is a licensed, nonprofit, school-based child care organization that provides safe, structured and enriching before and after school programming for elementary school students (grades K – 4). We are looking for responsible, talented, creative, alert and energetic people with a good sense of humor and lots of patience. We are especially interested in applicants with special skills and interests, including but not limited to sports, music, languages, the arts, theater, science, writing and computer skills.

Job requirements include contributing to ongoing program development, supervision and direction of indoor and outdoor games and activities, behavioral management, assisting students with homework, and providing a safe, respectful, caring and constructive environment for all students.

This is a great opportunity for college-age or graduate students to gain experience working with school-age children in a continually developing and growing field.

Salary is negotiable and based on your history working with children, education level and life experience. After school program hours are from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and based on the school calendar.  We can be flexible in building a schedule that works for both of us.

WBExL is a program of Schools for Children, a not-for-profit educational organization based in Winchester, Mass. (www.schoolsforchildreninc.org)
